Job Summary:
- We are seeking an API & Web Services Specialist to support our JP web-service API operations.
- This role requires an individual who is proficient in reading English technical documents and composing Japanese emails with solutions and communicating basic oral Japanese with customers over phone calls.
- The specialist will guide users through API projects, from initial setup to production, ensuring seamless integration and certification processes.
Job Description:
Communication
- Read and understand English documents such as API Catalogs.
- Compose Japanese emails with solutions and communicate basic oral Japanese with customers over phone calls.
Technical Support:
- Provide web service development support with knowledge of API calls including HTTP request methods (GET, POST, OPTIONS, PUT, DELETE), HTTP headers, Tokens, Bearer, AuthN, and AuthZ.
User Guidance:
- Guide users through the process of creating an organization, browsing APIs, signing up or logging in, adding a shipping account, and adding users to their organization.
- Assist users in initializing an API project, including creating a project to obtain credentials, integrating APIs, testing implementations, moving projects to production, and completing certification.
Compatible Test Instructions:
- Guide users through the Compatible test process, including creating a Compatible provider organization, accepting invites, inviting users, selecting necessary APIs, integrating APIs into applications, certifying to the Compatible Program, moving projects to production, and generating Production Secret Keys.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in reading English documents and composing Japanese emails.
- Basic oral communication skills in Japanese.
- Experience in web service development with a basic understanding of API calls and related concepts (HTTP methods, HTTP headers, Tokens, Bearer, AuthN, AuthZ).
- Basic Knowledge on https://spec.openapis.org/oas/v3.0.3 or https://swagger.io/speficication/ or any similar platform
- Familiarity with API project lifecycle and certification processes.
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing in both English and Japanese.
- Basic conversational skills in Japanese for handling phone calls and providing basic support to customers.
- Technical proficiency in API calls and web service development.
- Ability to guide users through technical processes with patience and clarity.
- Previous experience in a similar role involving web service development and API support.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical support role is a plus.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
